If you have a business card, a company badge, or a work uniform, you have your free ticket to a major business-to-business networking event in Jackson County, and you won’t even have to log into a Zoom meeting for this one.
The 31st annual Jackson County Industrial Trade Show had to be postponed to the fall because of the Coronavirus pandemic, but the show finally will go on Tuesday, October 6 at the B.E. “Mac” McGinty Civic Center in Pascagoula. Face masks, temperature scans, and social distancing will be required for all in attendance.
The event, hosted by the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, brings industrial suppliers and buyers together for a day of making connections and drumming up deals.
“Now more than ever, it’s important to be able to bring the Industrial Trade Show to Jackson County and provide the businesses with an opportunity to showcase their products and services,” said Melanie Landziedel, Chair of Trade Show Planning Committee and Chevron representative. “This great networking event allows businesses the opportunity to make 6 months’ worth of contacts in just 1 day. Safety has been a priority from Day 1, and the planning committee has put strict safety procedures in place throughout the show.”
Jonathan Brannan, director of development for the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, said the event is an opportunity to help businesses grow their customer base through networking. “One of the chamber’s purposes is to serve as a catalyst for businesses to gain resources and relationships. That is exactly what the Industrial Trade Show does,” Brannan said. “We understand how essential these connections are, especially in 2020, and we know this year will be valuable for commerce in Jackson County and beyond.”
The show starts with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. The main event is 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Singing River Health System will be on-site providing drive-thru COVID-19 testing and flu vaccines to Trade Show participants.
