Intelligent.com, a trusted resource for program rankings and higher education planning, has included The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) in its list of institutions assessed for 2024. USM is highlighted in 25 separate rankings, including five in the Top-5 nationally. Two programs are rated the best in the country.

Intelligent.com’s institutional rankings, which are set apart from other conventional ratings, are deemed the benchmark of academic evaluations for online and hybrid programs. An exclusive methodology is used to rank each institution on a scale from 0 to 100 across six categories.

Evaluations are based on quantitative measures such as academic quality, graduation rate, cost and ROI, and student resources. With top picks that are highly regarded, affordable, and offer the tools and resources students need to successfully graduate and excel in their fields.

“We are proud to see that our online degrees have stood out and ascended to the top in so many categories. These rankings confirm our commitment to delivering the same high-quality education to both our on-campus and online students,” said Dr. Tom Hutchinson, Dean of Online Learning and Enrollment at USM.

When the fall 2023 semester began, USM had 3,293 students enrolled in online programs, an increase of more than 50 from the previous year.
