Nothing quite moves the soul like music, especially live music. After going almost a year without live music due to the pandemic, many people can’t wait to experience live music again and the enjoyment that it can bring to the cool (or at least cooler) temps that accompany the fall season.

If you’re looking for something fun to do and some great music to vibe to, then we’ve got you covered. Here is your official guide to the fall music scene on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. But before you make your plans to attend any of these great musical events, make sure to check if there have been any changes in rules and regulations or unfortunate cancellations of events due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases. I hate to have to put that warning out there, but it is a reality that we are facing now. With that said, on to the music.

The Mississippi Gulf Coast is home to so much entertainment. Several concerts and musical tributes are held almost every weekend at most of the casinos. Occurring weekly every Friday through Sunday until August 29, Wahoo’s Poolside Bar and Grill at the Palace Casino Resort is bringing musical entertainment for guests to enjoy.

The IP Casino Resort and Spa features a stellar list of entertainers to the stage this fall, including Melissa Etheridge, the Temptations, Rick Springfield, Kenny Wayne Shephard, Collective Soul, 38 Special, and Trace Adkins.

The Beau Rivage will also feature musical greats, including Sara Evans, Charlie Wilson, Kool and the Gang, Nelly, Kenny G, LeeAnn Rimes, the Beach Boys, Johnny Mathis, Pat Benatar, and Neil Giraldo, Bret Michaels, the Commodores, and Chicago.

The Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center has a full slate of musical events planned for this fall. On September 25, the Convention Center will host the Gulf Coast Soul and Comedy Fest. Then on October 5, the legendary band, KISS, brings their “End of the Road World Tour” to the Gulf Coast. MercyMe 20/20 with Micah Tyler will bring their uplifting music to the stage on October 23.

Fall festivals are a great place to enjoy some good music and good times. On September 16, you can enjoy some great music at the Annual Mississippi Songwriters’ Festival. The Highland Games and Celtic Music Festival will bring lots of great music and traditions from Celtic history on November 13 and 14 in Gulfport.

If you’re looking for something new and different for a special night on the town, you might want to check out the Live Music Sunset Cruise on the Betsy Ann Riverboat. As you take in a beautiful sunset on the Mississippi Sound, you’ll be treated to live music for two hours. Dinner is not served on the cruise, but you’re encouraged to pack a picnic to enjoy with that special someone.

Hopefully, this guide helps you rock on this fall! Keep checking back as this story will continue to be updated.
