It is time to talk  about this year’s fashion trends. Fall is a great time to switch your wardrobe up a little. With that being said, let’s go over some of the top fashion predictions for this fall.

Colliding Colors

Apparently, monochromatic looks are out, and color variety is in. Many runways have been full of pops of colors with a unique twist. Neons and pastels are being worn together. What do you think about this?

Full Skirts

Long gone are the days of the pencil skirt. A new era of skirts has entered the chat— the full skirt. Full skirts with different finishing touches are projected to be a hit this fall. From finished hems to frayed ones, you’ll want to grab one of these skirts to wear this fall. The wonderful thing about these skirts is that they can also be worn as nice transitional pieces. Pair it with a cute basic t-shirt or with a button down for a more elevated look.

Suede, Suede, and More Suede

This popular fabric speaks to a quintessential fall; however, the fabric will be worn on more than just clothing. Many fashionistas are saying that suede purses will be worn this fall. They are also leaning towards colors like camel and burgundy. Will you be purchasing a suede bag for the fall?

Leopard Print

Something about leopard print is so nostalgic. What goes around truly does come around, because leopard print is back— especially for clutches. Grab your leopard print clutch for a night out with your besties.

Red Nails

I am not sure how true the “Red Nail Theory” is, but this theory has a lot of believers. The ladies are swapping out their OPI Bubble Bath nails for red nails, such as OPI Big Apple Red. Additionally, people are saying that they are pairing their leopard print with red nails for a more vampy appearance this fall.

Where to Buy

If you’re looking to purchase any of these fall pieces, there are plenty of places to choose from, such as:

  • Mississippi is full of local boutiques, such as South Lane Boutique. Check your local stores where you live, and you’ll be sure to find some great pieces to update your fall wardrobe.
  • UAL. This store is full of great pieces for a reasonable price.
  • Dillard’s. Dillard’s is in several locations in Mississippi including Hattiesburg, Ridgeland, Meridian, Vicksburg, and Southaven. Sign up for their newsletter to stay updated on upcoming sales
  • Belk. This department store is full of great pieces and the kindest store associates ever.
  • Thrift stores. If you have extra time one weekend, go to one of your local thrift stores. You’d be shocked at what you’ll find that fits this year’s fall trends!

As we know, Mississippi doesn’t get low temperatures until closer to the end of the year; however, I am not sure about you all, but I can already feel it getting ever so slightly cooler than what it’s been. This doesn’t mean that it’s too early to start your fall shopping. What are you most looking forward to wearing this fall?
