Make sure you mark this Saturday, November 19, 2022, on your calendar because there Merry Marketplace in Laurel and the Pine Belt Holiday Expo in Hattiesburg.are two very merry Christmas markets that you don’t want to miss out on.

You are cordially invited to attend the 4th annual Merry Marketplace at the Magnolia Center at the fairgrounds in Laurel. You’re sure to find a present for everyone on your shopping list among the beautiful and artistic gifts for purchase from over 100 talented artisans and vendors. You will find arts, crafts, apparel, gifts, and more. From tasty treats to beautiful pieces of art, holiday clothing, or unique and special gifts, you’ll be enchanted by all the offerings you will find at the Merry Marketplace. You’ll feel like you’ve stepped into a Winter Wonderland of magical treats, presents, and a few surprises.

This event is sure to kick off your holiday season. Remember a few of the surprises we talked about? Well, there will be an extraordinary visitor for the kids and kids at heart. See the man of the hour, Santa Claus, and get your picture taken with this jolly old elf by Darrin’s Photography. Plus, you can even get the chance to make some reindeer food for those little dears that pull Santa’s sleigh all across the world on Christmas Eve night. The reindeer will surely appreciate the treats, and you might get an extra present for your kindness. There will also be chances to win door prizes at the marketplace. The first 50 people through the door will be entered to win one of the gorgeous, fresh wreaths from Talson Farms.

The event is sponsored by Talson Farms and Four Arrow Events. The Merry Marketplace begins at 9:00 am and lasts until 4:00 pm. Admission is free. Make plans to visit this fantastic holiday event.

The Hub City will hold its traditional holiday Christmas season opener on Saturday as well. You’ll get even more holiday spirit and shopping done at the always fun and beautiful Annual Pine Belt Holiday Expo and Christmas Market at the Train Depot in Hattiesburg. This will be the 11th edition of this holiday-filled event, one you definitely don’t want to miss. You’ll be greeted with all things to make your season bright.

Come explore the beautiful works of talented artists and artisans, handmade items, handmade candles, specialty foods, gifts for your little fur babies, and so much more. You’re sure to find a special gift for that special someone on your list, beautiful home décor, jewelry, holiday clothing, toys, books, and unique and original stocking stuffers that will make Christmas morning that much more special.

After you’ve shopped till you drop, take a tour of the many food vendors at the Expo. You’ll be met with some of the most delicious, mouth-watering smells and foods from some of the top food vendors and venues around the South. The Pine Belt Holiday Expo and Christmas Market begins at 10:00 am and closes up at 3:00 pm, and admission is free.
