Libraries to Close for 4th of July holiday
Pascagoula, MS __All Jackson-George Regional Library System branches will be closed Thursday, July 4th, in observance of 4th of July and reopen Friday, July 5th at regular hours.

Planned Flyovers: Drone Usage for Remote Pilots

There’s no need to pay for admission. Patrons will be divided into four groups and given a specific amount of time to complete a jigsaw puzzle. COOKING MATTERS® for Adults with MS State Extension Service
Vancleave, MS __ Vancleave Public Library is offering a six-week course called COOKING MATTERS® for adults. The course includes a weekly two-hour class from trained educators who will teach food preparation, grocery shopping, food budgeting, and nutrition. Participants will learn how to use a knife, read food labels, cut up a whole chicken, and make a healthy meal. The course will take place on Thursdays from Wednesdays, June 19 – July 24, from 4 pm to 6:00 pm, at the Vancleave Public Library. Participants will receive ingredients to take home at the end of the first four classes to practice preparing class recipes. Some participants have already shared their experience, and Nikki said, “This class has taught me that food can be healthy and flavorful.” Meanwhile, Cassidy said, “This course has affected my household greatly.
